Sub: Prayer to be the development partner for the proper rehabilitation and development of the Blind and Mentally Retarded children of our residential special school and also for community development in favour of Moyna Ramkrishnayan Association.
Respected Sir/Madam,
With due honour and most humble submission, we the undersigned, Mr. Sasanka Maity, Founder-Secretary and Mrs. Jayashri Maiti, the foundress of Moyna Ramkrishnayan Association at Vill.- Harkulibhanderchak, P.O.+P.S.- Moyna, Dist.- Purba Medinipur, West Bengal-721629, beg to draw your kind attention to the fact that our Association is a Govt. Registered Voluntary Organization working for special education, health and rehabilitation of the special children and community development since its establishment in 1990.
For the persistent development of our society, our organization set up a Residential Special School for Blind and Mentally Retarded Children in 1998 for the special children in 1998. The special school has been rendering its service in the field of education, health and rehabilitation continually. The Managing Committee of this Special is Presided by Hon’ble S.D.O., Tamluk Sub-Division. The other members of this Committee are Hon’ble M.L.A. and Hon’ble B.D.O. of Moyna, Hon’ble Sabhadhipati, Purba Medinipur Zilla Parishad, 2 Govt. Doctors and 3 Guardian Representatives and Teaching and Non-Teaching Representatives.
It is a matter of pride that our student of the Special School, Sagarika Hazra made our country proud by winning a Gold Medal and a Silver Medal in swimming in Para-Olympic held in Shanghai, China in 2007 with 191 countries.
As recognition of our continuous effort and dedication in the service of the fields of health, education and rehabilitation, we have been awarded and honoured with the state and national award. The awards have increased our duties and responsibilities. Now we both are retired and senior citizens. Our limited income is not enough for the necessary development of that special school.
In this remote rural area, our Association was awarded the “State Award of Best Organization” by the Govt. of West Bengal in 2012 and in the same year, I Jayashri Maiti was awarded the “Florence Nightingale National Award” by the Hon’ble President of India as recognition of my service in my duties. In the year 2014, I, Sasanka Maity was awarded with the “Outstanding Person in Rehabilitation Service” State Award by the Govt. of West Bengal.
Our Association received a donation to build the School Building of our Special School from the Consulate of Japan, Kolkata in 2006. Since then, we have an FCRA Account for receiving Foreign Donation. We also have 12A and 80G Registration, maintaining all the norms and regulations of Govt. of India. All the donations we received are properly and totally utilized for the rehabilitation of the special children of our Residential Special School, the locality and their health and educational purposes.
Now, we need a Rehabilitation-cum-Community Centre for the proper rehabilitation of our special children to bring them back into the mainstream of our society. But it is beyond our economic limitations. So, we earnestly request you to be kind enough to be our development partner and extend your kind hand to meet the urgent needs of our special children. It will also be helpful to inspire and train their family members to be self-sufficient to stand by them to fulfil the Community Based Rehabilitation. The project needs nearly 2.5 crore rupees to be implemented.
In this situation, we earnestly request you to consider the needs of the outlying community people generously and sympathetically and stand by us to fulfil their needs and dreams.
