Year wise At-a-glance our Organization Activities

1984-1990:

After his voluntary service in flood-relief work of Ramkrishna Mission and Math, Mr. Sasanka Maity, the founder secretary, dedicated himself in social service and participated in various relief works. He enriched himself in various voluntary services of Shyamchand Charitable Society, Milan Sangha, NabaAgradutSangha, Changrachak Netaji Society, and others. From these experiences and training, he, with Foundress Jayasri Maiti, a Govt. Health worker established Moyna Ramkrishnayan Association for the sustainable development of the community.

1990:

At the initial stage, the Association started its activities with providing health services for the mothers and children of the community. Apart from Pulse Polio, Immunization, distributing nutritious food, the Association emphasized on awareness campaign on various issues.

1992:

The Association implemented four philanthropic projects in co-operation with the Central and State Governments for long eight years in the villages of the undivided Medinipur and Bankura districts.

1992-2000:

In cooperation with the Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy, Govt. of India and Dept. of Child, Women and Social Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, our Association as the implementing Organization, has built Smokeless Chulla in the villages and about 12000 families have been benefitted from the project.

1993-2000:

In cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India, our Association, as the implementing organization, has arranged Environment Awareness Camps in several villages. We have also arranged Group-Meeting, Procession, Seminars, Workshops to create and spread awareness on the important issues related with environmental issues.

1998-2007:

In cooperation with UNICEF and the Dept. of Panchayat and Rural Development, Govt. of West Bengal, our Association has built Low-Cost Sanitation Mart Centre in the tribal areas, and thousands of families have been benefitted from this low-cost sanitation mart centre.

1999:

For the sustainable development of the association, land was bought in the name of Moyna Ramkrishnayan Association, and construction of infrastructure of a residential Special School for special children for their education, health and rehabilitation.

2000:

The Association set up a Residential Special School for Blind and Mentally Retarded Children with academic recognition from the Mass Education Extension Dept., Govt. of West Bengal.

2002:

The Association started a Study Centre of Rabindra Open Schooling for school dropout students. Near about 6(Six) Thousands of students have completed their Madhyamik from our study centre and have come back into the main stream of society.

2003:

A bridge connecting our association with the state highway was built with the contribution of Mr. Lakshman Seth from his M.P. Lad Fund.

2004:

An aided School for Speech and Hearing Impaired was started with the cooperation from Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. The Vocational Building was built with financial cooperation of Gen. Sankar Roychowdhury, Hon’ble M.P., Rajyasabha.

2005:

A Health Centre for providing health services to our students and the local people was started through Jr. Red Cross Unit.The new construction of three stored Special School building was built with financial help of Japan Govt.

2006:

Centre Base “SAMARTHA HOME” was started with permission from National Trust of India for Multiple Disable Persons.The two storied “Maa Anandamoyee Upasanalay” was built financial help by Anandalok Hospital, Kolkata. New Construction of two storied V.T. building financial help by Mass Education Ext. Deptt. Govt. of W.B.

2007:

For the spiritual development of the community people. Local temples, masques and madrassas were renovated and built, and construction of pucca houses at one lac rupees for 4500 families started with The Anandalok, hospital, Kolkata. New Construction of three storied Boy’s Hostel building for Blind & MR children financial help by Mass Education Ext. Deptt. Govt. of W.B.

2008:

MRA English Medium School, Affiliated by W.B.B.S.E., was started for the students from poor and backward families of the locality.

12009:

For creating awareness against dowry among the people, a Mass Marriage programme was started by the Association. Established OPD Clinic for Mental Health, permitted by Govt. of W.B.

2010:

For creating employment for the local women, an extensive colour fish Cultivation project was arranged. The association set up the Saradayan Women Colour Fish Cultivation Society with affiliation from the Govt. of West Bengal.The Administrative two stored building was built with the funds granted from the M.P. Lads Fund of Mr. Lakshman Seth, Hon’ble M.P. Lok Sabha.

2011:

In cooperation with the Comprehensive Area Development Corporation, Govt. of West Bengal, Fish Hatchery and Duckery Cultivation started.A building was built with the funds from Saeed Ahamed Malihabadi, Hon’ble M.P., Rajya Sabha and additional class room construction by M.L.A. BEUP fund from Sk. Mujibur Rahaman, Ho.nble M.L.A.

2012:

Our Association started 2 Years D.El.Ed. Course Recognized by NCTE and Affiliated by W.B.B.P.E. and required building was constructed for helping local youth to get employment. An Ambulance Service was started for Community people. Financial help by State Bank of India, Kolkata.

2013:

2 Years D.Ed. Spl. Edu. (IDD) course, approved by RCI was introduced for the training of special educators. Our Association produced some documentaries on social issues. Some plays were staged as a part of Mass Education.

2014:

With the help of Dept. of Youth and Sports, Govt. of West Bengal, the renovation of the playground was completed.Our sister Organization Moyna Vivekananda Mission Teachers’ Training College, also started 2 years D.El.Ed. Course. New Construction of Mini Indorgame financial help by Youth and Sports, Govt. of West Bengal,

2015:

In association with our Association, another sister organization- Moyna Fishery Association was started with the farmers and fish-farmers of the locality.

2016:

With our cooperation, Moyna Ramkrishnayan Association A Teachers’ Training Institution Trust was formed and the trust started 2 Years B. Ed. Course with Recognition from NCTE and Affiliation from V.U. New Construction of two storied Girl’s Hostel building financial help by Mass Education Ext. Deptt. Govt. of W.B.

2017:

Our Association started a Community Radio Station “Palli Bangla F.M. Radio 91.2” with permission from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Deptt., Govt. of India. It is now considered as a key factor of the all round development of the community.

2018:

In association with our MRA, English Medium School Recognized by WBBSE from Govt. of W.B. Our school has Primary & Upper Primary for local poor students. a sister Organization “Moyna Fishery Association” was formed with the local fishermen for the development of the local fishermen. For the employment of the local youth, “DikhaAgro-Farm” was set up.

2019:

In association with our Association, some sister organizations were formed, like Rural Women Group, Self Employment Youth Group & Moyna Micro Small Industries Association. They arranged several Training, Seminars, Workshops in cooperation with CADC, MSME, DIC, CIFA, CIFRI and others for the local people to help them to be self-sufficient. Fish Fair was arranged in our campus.

2020:

For the development of the local farmers and the rural economy, our Association formed Global Moyna Farmers Producer Company. The FPC arranged the Fish Fair that year.

2021:

During the epidemic of COVID-19, we distributed cooked food and other items of daily use among the families in need. A Quarantine Centre was started at our campus. For the treatment of COVID Patients, a “Safe Home” was arranged in the campus of our sister organization Moyna Vivekananda Mission.

2022:

Our Association through two sister organizations- Moyna Pharmaceutical Institute and Derozio Pharma Institute, started D. Pharm. And B. Pharm. Course.

2023:

Our Association started a one-year Yoga and Naturopathy Course and treatment centre approved by the West Bengal Council of Yoga and Naturopathy.

2024:

For the spread of Ayush Treatment, we have started an Out Door Homeo-Clinic inside the campus. We are preparing to publish books on social issues.

2025:

In the interest of the local fishermen and fish farmers, we are raising a public movement so that the Govt. changes the Fishery Hub into a Fishery Hub Development Authority. Our association obtained Open Schooling for Madhyamik& Sr. Secondary (10+2) study centre approved by BOSE Board, Govt. of SIKIM
